Contractor has stated that he has a foundation crew ready to go so we should have a foundation in a few weeks. At first I thought that the dirt was brought in but it's all from the site.
Mom and I made a trip over this evening so I could spray insecticide on the ole' apple tree and give it some fertilizer. It has responded so well to the pruning we gave it last year. A little TLC goes a long way. The weather report said that winds would be six mph but I think they forgot a 0 - because it was more like 60! I did my best.
The apples are growing and, as you can see, are getting a little blush color. I found a few on the ground so I suspect that the deer are already trying to eat them. It was around eight o'clock when I took these photos and the light was golden. So pretty.
We had fish and chips at a restaurant in Ellensburg called "The Porch". Both the service and the food were great. Loved the décor with the garage doors that open to the outside. Too bad I didn't think to take a photo.
Last week at the SDC (Seattle Design Center), I saw some very beautiful marbles and granites that are contenders for the farm house. Boy, can you ever get carried away in those showrooms! Here are a few that caught my eye:
